Hi all friends of Ferriby Village Hall!
We hope you’re surviving in these extraordinary times. Like many venues we had to close in March, but we are scheduled to reopen on Monday September 7th!
And we’ve not been idle. We took the opportunity to transform the tired-looking main hall and carry out essential maintenance work to the outside of the building. We’ve replaced fluorescent lights in the main hall with dimmable LED panels, the walls and ceiling have been painted and the floor sanded and sealed. It is transformed into a more contemporary and attractive space for sport, events and cinema – talking of which…..
We hope to be able to start socially distanced film screenings again on Friday 11th Sept, showing the 2019 film “Yesterday” (Cert 12), in which a struggling singer-songwriter whose dreams of fame are fading, wakes up after a freak bus accident in a global blackout, to discover that The Beatles have never existed.
Our seating capacity is greatly reduced and all tickets must be booked in advance. No one will be admitted without a pre-booked ticket. Drinks will be served to your table. Please wear masks when you arrive at the front door only and use the hand sanitiser. Masks must be worn unless you are drinking and eating. and you have taken your seats at your pre-booked table. You must provide names and contact numbers for anyone in your party (or at your table) You can sit socially distanced from one other couple in your party, for example, at the other end of your rectangular table. There is a limit of two persons at any one time, in the toilets. Further information will be provided once you book, by leaving your details on our Hotline – 07555 347968. You will receive a call back. Payment for drinks and tickets will be taken, by card preferably, after the show.
All events are subject to government guidelines and can change at any moment.
We hope to see you soon. Stay safe.
While the information here is correct at time of going to press, it may change regularly, as we take advice from government and other bodies, during the current health crisis. For up-to-date information, you should consult this website and the Village Hall noticeboard will be regularly updated too. Thank you.
